A special occasion

Maybe you've got a unique idea or a place that you've visited, but the photographs that you've seen don't do it justice. Here's a little story that illustrates how I might be able to help...

I met a woman at a show a while back, and she loved my work. She bought a small piece, and indicated that she needed a gift for her husband's milestone birthday. We talked on the phone after the show, and I made a trip back to the city to make some photographs specially for her. What she wanted was a shot of the skyline that included their pied à terre.

I was successful in making several interesting shots, one of the DuSable Harbor and the shot shown here. It was a win-win situation. She reported later that the two images that she purchased for her husband were a big hit. They hung the harbor shot in his office and Morning Swim in their home in the suburbs.

Subjects shot for specific requests often have broader appeal if the image is interesting. Both of the images I photographed in this case have been popular with other Chicago residents.
